In the fallen world of Erâth, a place overrun by the forces of Darkness, a young boy is taken in by his grandfather when his parents perish in a fire at his birth. Feared and misunderstood by everyone around him, Brandyé Dui-Erâth grows up alone, save for a single family who sees the sadness in his heart.

Through his grandfather's many fireside tales, Brandyé begins to learn the true nature of the world around him. As Darkness and its creatures begin to creep into the once-safe lands of Consolation, he discovers that he has a connection to the long-forgotten ancient world. As events force him down a path of ever-growing danger, he finds his destiny is to suffer both joy and sorrow, and to learn the true nature of Darkness and Death.

The Redemption of Erâth: Consolation is the first in a series of novels chronicling the epic journey of Brandyé Dui-Erâth through the dark and terrifying world of Erâth—a journey that will take him to the ends of land and time and put the salvation of all men in his hands.

Exiled from his homeland, never to return, Brandyé Dui-Erâth finds himself lost in the wilderness on the coast of a black sea, with the influence of Darkness closing in around him. Here, he learns the true meaning of solitude, and begins to discover that he indeed has an influence on the world that is beyond the natural.

Soon, he finds he is not alone in the greater lands of Thaeìn, and is captured and taken in by the Cosari, a seafaring nation whose delight is in battle, glory and death. Thus begins a new chapter in Brandyé's life, one that will lead him from the rocky islands of Cosar through the dangerous forests of the Trestaé Mountains, and ultimately to the greatest kingdom of men in all of Erâth.

Along the way he discovers old friends and new enemies, and learns ever more about the world of Erâth, its history and its future, and the role he has to play in its fate.

Now separated from Brandyé, Elven finds himself traveling in the wildernesses of Thaeìn, searching desperately for the woman he loves. When he is captured by the forces of Erârün, marching on the doorstep of their neighbor, Kiriün, he is taken from all he knows—and finds that, despite the losses and tragedies of his life, there may be a deeper purpose to his journeys after all.

Meanwhile, Brandyé awakes in a distant forest, alone, and with no memory of his past, nor even of his name. Soon, however, he finds himself embroiled in the makings of the greatest war Erâth has ever known, voyaging the length and breadth of the world in an effort to make peace with terrifying warlords bent on the total destruction of all.

As Darkness and Death begin to take hold of the world of Erâth, both past and future merge as Brandyé and Elven must race against time to save all they hold dear—lest the world fall into an abyss from which it can never return.
